The existing system has been in operation for over 23 years and is a central element of production logistics.
The key factors driving the modernization are, in particular, ensuring the long-term availability of replacement parts and continuing to guarantee stable and reliable operation. The system comprises approximately 5,000 pallet spaces and is in operation for many hours each day.

The project is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027, with implementation expected to be completed by the end of 2027. The goal of the retrofit is to modernize the system’s control infrastructure while ensuring that ongoing processes continue uninterrupted.
The geographical proximity of both companies in Laufen, as well as their long-standing collaboration, form a solid foundation for the project’s implementation.
