The existing plant has been in operation for over 23 years and is a central element of production logistics.
The key factors driving the modernization are, in particular, ensuring the long-term availability of spare parts and continuing to guarantee stable and reliable operation. The plant comprises approximately 5,000 pallet spaces and is in operation for many hours each day.
“We chose Stöcklin because we have had very positive experiences with them for many years—the service, responsiveness, and collaboration are simply excellent,” says D. Christ, Head of Intralogistics at Ricola.
The project is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2027, with implementation expected to be completed by the end of 2027. The goal of the retrofit is to modernize the plant’s control while ensuring that ongoing processes continue.
The geographical proximity of both companies in Laufen, as well as their long-standing collaboration, form a solid foundation for the project’s implementation.
