MARIETTA, Ga. — September 10, 2026 — Stoecklin Logistics, Inc., a leading provider of automated material handling and warehouse storage systems, has appointed Troy Boesch as Director of Systems Sales, strengthening the company’s North American team as it expands its presence in the automated warehouse and intralogistics market.
In his new role, Boesch will lead systems sales and strategic business development throughout North America, with a focus on automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), warehouse automation, and integrated material handling solutions. He will work closely with customers, engineering teams, integrators, strategic partners, and Stoecklin’s headquarters in Switzerland to develop solutions that address increasingly complex warehouse and distribution requirements.
Boesch brings more than 20 years of experience spanning warehouse automation, systems integration, engineering, technical sales, and project delivery. Throughout his career, he has worked across AS/RS, conveyors, controls, and WMS, WCS, and WES integration, helping customers move automation projects from initial concept through commissioning and operational ramp-up.
Most recently, Boesch served as Business Development Consultant and Integration Engineering leader for RHODA, a stealth-stage physical AI robotics company, where he focused on translating emerging AI and robotics technologies into deployable workflows for automotive, manufacturing, and distribution environments.
Previously, he spent more than five years with OPEX Corporation, where he served as Director of Integration Engineering and built the company’s Integration Engineering organization from the ground up to a team of more than 60 professionals specializing in project management, simulation, site layout, machine design, application engineering, controls engineering, and WMS-WCS/WES interfaces. His work supported large-scale automation programs for Fortune 500 clients, including Amazon, Target, John Deere, McKesson, Kawasaki, and Denso.
Earlier in his career, Boesch held automation and project leadership roles at Inter IKEA Group, TDK, Polycom/Spectralink, Application Consulting Group, and Agilent Technologies. His experience includes large-scale fulfillment automation, manufacturing automation, PLC controls, SCADA, digital twins, machine vision, and advanced robotics.
“Troy brings exactly the combination of experience we need as we continue to build Stoecklin’s presence in North America,” said Danilo Potocnik, Head of Sales at Stoecklin Logistics. “He understands automation from both technical and commercial perspectives, and he has spent his career helping customers turn complex automation concepts into successful operating systems. His ability to align customer needs with engineering and implementation will be a tremendous asset to our customers and our team.”
For Boesch, this opportunity represents a chance to combine his engineering background and sales experience while helping establish Stoecklin as a leading automation partner for the North American market.
“At its core, my role is about building a genuine American presence for Stoecklin, just as other European providers have already done in the U.S.,” said Boesch. “There is a huge opportunity here. Most U.S. warehouses are still only minimally automated, while labor shortages and increasing operational demands are pushing companies to invest in automation. As a sales professional with an engineer’s technical expertise, that is exactly where I can make a difference.”
Boesch said Stoecklin’s combination of established expertise, long-term customer relationships, and commitment to its solutions was a major draw.
“Automating a warehouse also means supporting that equipment for 20 to 25 years. That is a serious commitment,” he said. “At Stoecklin, I believe in that promise. More than 90 years in the logistics industry is something you can’t fake or build overnight. To me, it represents reliability, staying power, and accountability.”
Boesch also sees his role as an opportunity to build lasting relationships with customers and help them achieve tangible results from their automation investments.
“You only get one life, and I want to spend mine helping others and building real trust and real relationships,” he said. “There’s nothing better than watching a new system go live and work exactly the way the customer needs it to. That moment—when the promise and the machine come together—is the best part of the job for me.”
During a recent visit to Stoecklin’s headquarters in Laufen, Switzerland, Boesch was equally impressed by the company’s culture and its connection to the region.
“I felt it right away. This is a quiet, family-oriented area,” he said. “The headquarters in Laufen is probably the nicest headquarters I’ve ever been to. The building and the view of the Jura truly left me speechless. It instantly took me back to my 18 years in Colorado, riding motorcycles through terrain just like this.”
Boesch holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Business Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. His technical expertise includes AS/RS, WMS/WCS/WES, Siemens and Beckhoff PLCs, Ignition SCADA, NATS messaging, SQL-based systems, FlexSim digital twins, machine vision, video AI, and multimodal and physical AI.
His appointment comes as Stoecklin Logistics continues to expand its North American systems business and help companies address labor constraints, throughput requirements, and the growing complexity of modern distribution operations through scalable automation and integrated material handling solutions.
