You create what is probably the best thing in the world – fine food.

Your apprenticeship as a chef (EFZ) at Stöcklin

You enjoy turning simple ingredients into something special. You have a keen sense of taste, smell, and presentation, and you like to try new things. Do you see your future in the culinary arts, the food industry, food service, or hospitality management?

A culinary apprenticeship at Stöcklin will give you a strong, broad foundation so you can hit the ground running after you finish your apprenticeship.

A culinary apprenticeship is one of the most creative and delicious entry-level training programs available. During your three years of apprenticeship at Stöcklin, you’ll cook in our in-house staff restaurant in Laufen as part of a team of three trained chefs. The atmosphere here is friendly and relaxed – unlike in many commercial kitchens, where the tone can sometimes be harsher. You’ll prepare seasonal dishes using a variety of methods and attend vocational school in Liestal once a week.

After your apprenticeship, all paths are open to you – whether you’re more interested in creativity, organization, or hospitality.

Cooking – Creating – Tasting

Here at Stöcklin, I feel fully supported. My questions are taken seriously, and my instructor always takes the time to explain things to me. I do something different in the kitchen every day; the menus are varied, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.
