High stock levels, low assortment depth, storage as dense as possible - and yet everything can be accessed intelligently, quickly and energy-optimized 24/7: This is the area of application for fully automatic channel/compact storage systems from Stöcklin.
We implement future-proof and scalable channel storage systems for pallets and containers that are consistently designed for maximum storage density and economical goods handling: With a small variety of items, large quantities are securely stored multiple-deep in compact channel racking - even at great heights - making optimum use of space and building volume, while modular concepts precisely tailored to your industry, product and company requirements guarantee 24/7 availability, high handling capacity, coordinated material and data flows and energy-efficient operation even in special environments down to -30 °C.
Our channel storage systems follow a clearly structured modular principle: specifically coordinated channel vehicles and storage and retrieval machines are used for pallets and containers. This results in a system architecture that can be precisely adapted to the load capacity, dynamics, building geometry and ambient conditions - with end-to-end control integration and high process reliability.
In the container and small parts channel storage system, storage rovers take over the movement within the multi-deep channel racking. They drive underneath containers or stacks of containers, pick them up safely and transport them precisely to the defined position in the lane. The BOXer miniload stacker crane positions the rovers vertically and horizontally with millimetre precision in front of the respective channel and ensures the dynamic connection to conveyor and picking systems. Rovers are designed for loads of up to 300 kg and can be equipped with a conveyor belt or roller conveyor, depending on requirements.
Like Lego bricks, these components interlock precisely and form a powerful, scalable overall system.
In the pallet channel warehouse, MASTer storage and retrieval machines and PowerShuttle work together with millimeter precision. As a powerful load carrier, the MASTer stacker crane takes over the vertical and horizontal positioning in front of the respective channel. The dimensions of the carrier vehicles are designed precisely to your container specifications and can accommodate high payloads.
The PowerShuttle moves the pallets within the multi-deep channel structure. During channel travel, the systems communicate via radio and use laser distance measurement in combination with absolute encoders and sensors to position themselves safely and with high precision.
The solution is a powerful, scalable overall solution with smart system modules that interlock seamlessly.
All Stöcklin sewer vehicles are equipped with powerful, low-maintenance and durable energy solutions.
Stöcklin PowerShuttle and Storage Rover are equipped with SuperCaps and an additional emergency battery. SuperCaps are characterized by their extremely fast charging capability. They are made from environmentally friendly materials, enable energy recovery - and function reliably at high and low temperatures. PowerShuttle and Storage Rover are charged within 10 seconds of each trip via pressure contacts on the storage and retrieval unit and have a service life of up to 1 million charging cycles.
The new generation of storage and retrieval systems can optionally be supplied with a bufferless braking system (buffers are up to 1.5 m long), which creates more space for the rack and increases storage capacity. DC link coupling and inverters are included as standard, with grid regeneration or energy storage also available as options.
We assemble and test the system solution designed for you at our Technology Center in Laufen, Switzerland. The guaranteed Swiss quality of our devices - combined with our long-life services - ensures superior availability and high value retention with impressively low total cost of ownership (TCO).
