Your apprenticeship as a Plant and Equipment Technician (EFZ) at Stöcklin

Sometimes with finesse, sometimes with rougher methods – bringing machines to life. You enjoy getting your hands dirty – and at the end of your work, you have something you can actually touch. You feel right at home in the workshop, surrounded by sheet metal, welding equipment, and laser cutting machines. Do you want to work in plant engineering, assembly, maintenance, or production later on?

The plant and equipment builder apprenticeship at Stöcklin gives you a strong, broad foundation so you can hit the ground running after your apprenticeship.

An apprenticeship as a plant and equipment builder is a hands-on foundational training – here, you literally build things with your own hands. During your four years of apprenticeship at Stöcklin in Laufen, you’ll learn metalworking in our various workshops – from raw sheet metal to the first weld spot to the finished, functioning system. Our trainers will provide you with intensive guidance throughout.

After your apprenticeship, all paths are open to you – whether you’re interested in hands-on work, construction, or management.

The coolest thing is when I hold a loose piece of sheet metal in my hands in the morning and see a whole system standing there in the evening – built with my own hands. At Stöcklin, I get to help build things right from the start and can really feel what I’m creating.
