Wire and program machines – and automate the world.
Not just in the workshop, not just in front of the computer – you want both. You want to work with your hands and digitally at the same time. Whether you’re wiring a control cabinet or programming on a laptop – if something isn’t working, you want to figure out why. After your apprenticeship, you’d like to work in the fields of automation, software development, or machine maintenance.
The automation technician apprenticeship at Stöcklin gives you a strong, broad foundation so you can hit the ground running after your apprenticeship.
An automation technician apprenticeship is an extremely versatile and forward-looking basic training program. You’ll spend your first year of the four-year program in the foundational year at the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule in Basel. Starting in your second year of the apprenticeship, you’ll be with us in Laufen and will specialize in either hardware, software programming, or control panel construction.
After your apprenticeship, all paths are open to you – whether in electrical engineering, programming, or management.
