This vertical expansion project was implemented so that the normal operations could continue and was also done to include auditing for compliance with Roche strict requirements for the logistics software with regards to the material flow control according to the rules laid down in their “Good Distribution Practice” (GDP).

Thrifty transport talent for energetic purposes

The Swiss Holenstein Group has expanded its fleet of fork lifts at Wil near St. Gallen to include six Stöcklin drawbar units equipped with Li-ion technology. Since October 2017, this new equipment has proven itself in hard, practical use. Thanks to the integrated energy system, the batteries can be recharged in a maximum of two hours. In comparison to solutions using conventional lead-acid batteries, this technology has made it possible to significantly reduce the number of battery changes as well as the power consumption.

A 16 aisle, automated small parts storage facility with over 30,000 storage bays for a total of more than 300,000 boxes with dimensions of 600 x 400 mm and retrieval capacity of up to 1,500 boxes per hour forms the heart of the automation concept implemented by the BOLTZE Group at their location in Braak. This solution, based on Stöcklin’s BOXer-System, integrated as a high performance picking system directly into a connected new building, provides operative security for further growth of this wholesale enterprise. All totaled BOLTZE has invested nearly 23 million euros for the current expansion and centralization of their logistic facilities.

Galliker Transport AG, one of Switzerland’s top 10 logistics services providers, has expanded the storage capacity in its full automatic logistics center 4, by approximately 26,200 pallet storage spaces. This newly completed high bay warehouse for ambient temperature and deep freeze storage was opened for operation in August 2017 and is distinguished by its maximum availability, operating and labor safety - designed and realized by Stöcklin Logistics. The investment is, on the one hand, a follow-up reaction to increasing demand as well as a systematically developed digitalization offensive.

High performance distribution center for GRUPO BIMBO sets new standards

Construction has commenced. After nearly two years of planning, Stöcklin, has begun realization of a fully automatic distribution center in Mexico City as general contractor for GRUPO BIMBO. In the future this automated distribution center will supply over 100 subdistribution centers and a number of major customers in the greater metropolitan area. The new distribution center for the world’s leading manufacturer of baked goods is distinguished by maximum turn-over figures while guaranteeing error-free and efficient order handling around the clock seven days a week. Collaborative effort to rectify a catastrophe

The end of 2015 heavy storms had devastated wide areas in many regions of Italy. The production and logistics facilities of Pasta Rummo in Benevento in the Campania region were also affected. Switzerland’s first collectively used hub for automated archiving and handling of library collections has now gone into operation in Swiss Büron. The “Cooperative Swiss Storage Library” has invested nearly 33 million Swiss Francs to provide space for approximately 3.1 million volumes. Why was the EAGLE-ANT conceived? The idea developed from an initial vision to conceive a new type of driverless transport vehicle, which is significantly more cost-effective in comparison with the currently available solutions on the market - both in terms of its purchase price and in daily operation. Good service is everything!

MIFA concluded a full service contract with Stöcklin to that their fleet of stackers remains failsafe and available in the long term. This fleet management implemented at the Frenkendorf location focuses on maintenance, repair and supply of spare parts. Based on the results of a prior application analysis, it was possible to reduce the number of machines incorporated into the material flow by over ten percent. These savings are very notable, particular in terms of the maintenance costs.
