A 16 aisle, automated small parts storage facility with over 30,000 storage bays for a total of more than 300,000 boxes with dimensions of 600 x 400 mm and retrieval capacity of up to 1,500 boxes per hour forms the heart of the automation concept implemented by the BOLTZE Group at their location in Braak. This solution, based on Stöcklin’s BOXer-System, integrated as a high performance picking system directly into a connected new building, provides operative security for further growth of this wholesale enterprise. All totaled BOLTZE has invested nearly 23 million euros for the current expansion and centralization of their logistic facilities.

Precisely arranged surroundings for maximum performance

Galliker Transport AG, one of Switzerland’s top 10 logistics services providers, has expanded the storage capacity in its full automatic logistics center 4, by approximately 26,200 pallet storage spaces. This newly completed high bay warehouse for ambient temperature and deep freeze storage was opened for operation in August 2017 and is distinguished by its maximum availability, operating and labor safety - designed and realized by Stöcklin Logistics. The investment is, on the one hand, a follow-up reaction to increasing demand as well as a systematically developed digitalization offensive.

High performance distribution center for GRUPO BIMBO sets new standards

Construction has commenced. After nearly two years of planning, Stöcklin, has begun realization of a fully automatic distribution center in Mexico City as general contractor for GRUPO BIMBO. In the future this automated distribution center will supply over 100 subdistribution centers and a number of major customers in the greater metropolitan area. The new distribution center for the world’s leading manufacturer of baked goods is distinguished by maximum turn-over figures while guaranteeing error-free and efficient order handling around the clock seven days a week. Moreover the Warehouse Management System including material flow computer places special requirements on the solution competency of the intralogistics system supplier.

Collaborative effort to rectify a catastrophe

The end of 2015 heavy storms had devastated wide areas in many regions of Italy. The production and logistics facilities of Pasta Rummo in Benevento in the Campania region were also affected. A team of experts put together by the company itself under the auspices of Stöcklin Logistik AG succeeded in completely renovating the heavily damaged, automated high bay warehouse and getting it back into operation within a period of only six months.

Storage library as hub for millions of books

Switzerland’s first collectively used hub for automated archiving and handling of library collections has now gone into operation in Swiss Büron. The “Cooperative Swiss Storage Library” has invested nearly 33 million Swiss Francs to provide space for approximately 3.1 million volumes. As intralogistics provider - from storage and retrieval-related equipment right up to storage management and control - Stöcklin Logistik AG contributed significantly to the implementation of this ambitious project.
