FSP = Flexible in Storage and Performance

In Laufen, home of the Technology Center of Stöcklin Logistik AG since May 2020, the Swiss intralogistics provider operates a state-of-the-art, fully automated warehouse for spare parts for their in-house manufacturing facility. Only components from the company's own production are used, including the FSP shuttle system, which is the newest addition to the product portfolio and is designed for high performance and maximum flexibility. This is a scalable overall solution consisting of racking, lifters, racks, conveyors and shuttle vehicles, which can be adapted precisely to match individual system performance requirements.

IT landscape harmonized, intermediate transports automated

At the Ostermundigen site, Stöcklin Logistik has carried out a reorganization for Emmi Schweiz AG at the intralogistics level and has further increased the flexibility of processes. In the course of this reorganization, the StöcklinWCS (warehouse control system) was modified to meet the needs and rolled out to other functional areas. At the same time, goods transport between the two high bay warehouses - originally performed manually and thus very time-consuming - was automated within a time frame of four months. Since April 2018, this is now handled by two automated guided vehicles type EAGLE ANT.

Appropriate Storage Now Available for Both Solids and Liquids

Bachem AG has put a new central warehouse into operation in Bubendorf near Basel. The facility is divided into two sections. The fully automatic high-bay warehouse for solids is usually operated under normal conditions, whereas the liquid material warehouse ensures the proper storage and handling of the highly flammable substances, which are stored in IBC tanks in accordance with ATEX guidelines. As a design and implementation partner, Stöcklin Logistik AG was there for every step of the project and also ensured the necessary connection was established between the StöcklinWMS system and SAP WM.

Aiming high... or when you're running out of space

Across from Basel’s new landmark, the Roche Building 1, Stöcklin has enhanced the present logistics center in the pharmaceutical company’s facility to include a high bay warehouse divided into two different climate zones and all connected by automatic conveying equipment. This vertical expansion project was implemented so that the normal operations could continue and was also done to include auditing for compliance with Roche strict requirements for the logistics software with regards to the material flow control according to the rules laid down in their “Good Distribution Practice” (GDP).

Storage library (CH)

Switzerland’s first collectively used hub for automated archiving and handling of library collections has now gone into operation in Swiss Büron. The “Cooperative Swiss Storage Library” has invested nearly 33 million Swiss Franks to provide space for approximately 3.1 million volumes. As intralogistics provider - from storage and retrieval-related equipment right up to storage management and control - Stöcklin Logistik AG contributed significantly to implementation of this ambitious project.

Galliker (CH)

Galliker Transport AG, one of the largest Swiss transport and logistics companies, is investing successively in expansion of their intralogistic structure. After conclusion of the first phase of construction, a fully automatic high bay pallet warehouse of food and health care products was initially put into operation. The facility, operated at ambient temperatures of -26°C, is distinguished by its outward appearance as well as a sophisticated, intralogistic inner life for maximum availability and labor safety - made by Stöcklin Logistik AG.

Ricola (CH)

The Ricola Company’s conveying and storage system in Laufen, Switzerland, has been in operation for years and serves as replenishment storage for the production department and as the shipping department for finished products. To date the 6-aisle storage facility has been operated using 3 automatic, fixed aisle stacker cranes as well as one manually controlled unit capable of manipulating curves. To be better equipped to handle the increasing demand for the popular confectionery products, Ricola decided to drastically modernize its intra-company logistics.

Emmi (CH)

Emmi is Switzerland's major dairy processor and one of the most innovative premium dairies in Europe. At its location in Ostermundigen, Emmi produces various fresh products such as yoghurt, Emmi Caffè Latte and Glacé. Based on the growth in fresh products and the strategic decision to outsource deep-freeze logistics, Emmi decided to convert the present deep-freeze storage including high bay warehouse to a logistic hub and distribution center for fresh products. This technical building modifications, improvements and optimizations in the production process and a completely new concept for internal material flow for distribution logistics.

Stöcklin Logstik AG has realized a new, fully automatic, high bay storage facility for EVER Pharma Jena GmbH, which will serve as a logistic hub in the future to support expansion of this internationally active pharmaceutic enterprise. The facility was put into service following integration of the intralogistic elements and auditing and validation of the warehouse management system in conformity with GDP.
